Ryan Acks is a physician assistant at MSU Health Care. He strives to build positive interpersonal relationships with patients and family members through collaboration with other health professionals. Acks began his medical education at the University of Cincinatti, receiving a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a minor in psychology. Following undergrad, he received his master's in physician assistant studies from Kettering College, Ohio.
Acks has extensive experience working in various specialty clinics. He’s worked within pediatric, cardiology, family medicine, behavioral health, emergency medicine, cardiology, women’s health, cardiothoracic surgery, and orthopedic clinics. Additionally, Acks has worked as a patient care associate at the University of Cincinnati Orthopedics and Trauma Medical Center where he worked with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans, monitor and assist patients with daily activities.
As a student, Acks worked at the University of Cincinnati Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Medical Center, observing and working alongside physician assistants to provide care. He also spent time as a Student Research Associate, working to complete concussion baseline tests and football and baseball vision training.
